I think the reason some people get upset is that the video game parodies and violent movies tend to get higher scores and more attention whereas someone may make something very original but not violent and they are overlooked.
In any case it's not the artist's fault so getting bent out of shape towards the artist is pretty dumb.

that is true people just need to remember why newgrounds was invented in the first place it's true that spam and crap should not be allowed but flash is for fun and when people make flash they want you to be happy (most of the time) so remember flash is mainly for fun
yea but you gotta admit that its annoying when there's like good flash that took alot of effort and has real quality, and it gets low scores compared to a funny stupid parody. oh well, theres a place for everything here.

It's less the humor aspect, I mean, I love animations such as brawl taunts, it's the unoriginality.

people set their expectations too high.
I'm just getting so sick of people bitching about how creativity is lacking in a flash, that it's animation isn't the most astounding thing, or if the humor is based around it being a parody or gag humor.
If people honestly care THAT much about creativity in animation and humor in flashes, why don't we kill off and blam the ones that just aren't being creative enough in the portal so the astounding ones of the creative populace with little to no humor can take over?
Seriously though, some flashes are just meant to make you laugh, and are not trying to be as amazing as they can in animation or humor. People need to understand that, and just laugh.
